A cystoscopy allows
us to look inside the bladder and urethra (and prostate in men)
to find the cause of certain urological symptoms. We seek to
find the source for things like:
• Blood in the urine
• Painful urination
• Incontinence
• Urinary frequency or hesitancy
• Inability to pass urine
• Overwhelming
or sudden need to urinate
The procedure is generally performed in
the office and takes only a few minutes. There is no special prep
needed and most patients experience minimal discomfort.
